What is this?

You are currently using Svaleo as a closed test version (beta). The app is still under development. Features may change, bugs may occur, and in rare cases data may be lost. The app is provided "as is".

Liability

We are not liable for ordinary bugs, data loss, or outages during the test phase. Our liability for damages caused by gross negligence or intent remains unaffected — this can't be excluded by contract anyway.

What data do we store?

• Your anonymous username and invite code — no real name, no email, no phone number.
• Text messages and audio files ("bottles" and "waves") that you send.
• IP addresses, briefly, solely to protect against abuse (e.g. brute-force login attempts).

Why?

Only so the app works (delivering your messages) and so we can protect it from spam, abuse, and illegal content.

How long?

During the beta phase, we retain messages and audio files in order to fix bugs, improve the system, and review reported content. We delete data on request (see below). Before any public launch, an automatic, clearly defined retention period will be introduced.

Who sees my messages?

Nobody reads along automatically. If you or someone else reports a message via the 🚩 button, it may be reviewed personally by us (the operators) — strictly on a case-by-case basis, not routinely.

Minimum age

During the current beta phase, Svaleo is intended for people 18 years and older only.
